What We Do
It is not uncommon today to hear in conversations, particularly among younger generations, questions concerning the relevancy of churches in today's society. Perhaps reading about in what the Presbyterian Church USA is engaged might provide some important insight and answers to those compelling questions. Our little church here in Lac du Flambeau is inextricably linked to the activities that Presbyterian Church USA undertakes since we treat that entity as a mission and support it with our mission fundi ng. Click on the links in red within this text and at the end to explore further the activities of these organizations.
As you will learn by reading the items from Presbyterian News USA, for over 200 years, Presbyterians have been responding to the call of Jesus Christ, taking the gospel into all the world and bearing witness to Christ’s saving love to the ends of the earth. Today the Holy Spirit is still on the move, calling us to share in what God is doing in the world. As your partner in Christ’s service, the Presbyterian Mission Agency is faithfully working to inspire, equip and connect all Presbyterians to do Christ’s mission, bringing together congregations, worshiping communities, mid councils, mission networks and other parts of the church ecosystem as they nurture and shape disciples and serve Christ in the world.
